The Opportunity:

Westcon Equipment & Rentals Ltd is looking for a knowledgeable and energetic Outside Sales Representative to join our team in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. As an Outside Equipment Sales Representative, you will have the opportunity to build your customer base in your assigned territory.

 

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Expand on existing customer base through cold calls and scheduled calls to customer sites and offices
  • In-person meetings with customers to address concerns and provide solutions
  • Implement strategies for growth of multiple product lines
  • Complete daily/weekly call reports
  • Participate in industry or promotional events (i.e., trade shows) to create customer relations
  • Adhere to stated policies and procedures relating to Health and Safety
  • Account management and new business development experience with revenue responsibility.
  • Discover sales opportunities through consumer research
  • Must be willing to travel regularly within the assigned territory in Saskatchewan

Job Description:

  • Provide excellent customer service and handle internal and external customer requests.
  • Compile information on the receipt or distribution of material, equipment, merchandise or supplies and use this information to compute inventory balance, price and cost.
  • Receive, sort, stock and issue material, equipment, merchandise or supplies.
  • Advise on the appropriateness of material, equipment, merchandise or supplies.
  • Monitor inventory levels as material, equipment, merchandise and supplies are issued and transferred.
  • Count material, equipment, merchandise and supplies in stock and posts totals to electronic inventory records.
  • Compile and maintain records of quantity, type and cost of material, equipment, merchandise and supplies.
  • Compare physical inventory counts to inventory records to verify quantities and adjust errors as appropriate.
  • Use multiple software platforms to look up Parts information.
  • Investigate and document inventory discrepancies.
  • Prepare requisition orders to replenish inventory as required.
  • Process incoming requisitions.
  • Prepare and maintain all relevant reports.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • 3 years of experience in parts would be considered an asset
  • Superior organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Customer service experience considered an asset.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Proven ability to problem solve and multi-task.
  • Reliable team player.

We sure hope so, as we are looking for someone just like YOU for our Heavy Duty Field Mechanic position!

As a Heavy Duty Field Mechanic at Westcon Equipment and Rentals Ltd, you’ll use your skills to perform maintenance and repairs on customer-owned and company-owned equipment with limited or no supervision in a highly skilled, safe, and professional manner. Our mechanics regularly work on excavators, backhoes, loaders, telehandlers, aerial lifts and related construction equipment.

Job Duties:

  • Inspect, repair and adjust various make and models of Lift equipment (JLG, Genie, JCB, etc.)
  • Adhere to workplace safety policies, regulations and compliances
  • Communicate any unsafe conditions or accidents/injuries in a timely manner to the supervisor in order to facilitate prompt correction or reporting
  • Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service
  • Diagnose defects in heavy duty equipment
  • Perform mechanical repairs on equipment on the road/field and in the shop when required
  • Perform inspections on units
  • Operate automotive servicing equipment, e.g. A/C recycler, etc.
  • Installation of new and added-on equipment
  • Electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting and diagnostics
  • Accurate completion of work orders and time cards
  • Repair cooling, and lubrication systems
  • Repair mechanical transmissions, drive-trains and final drives
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance
  • Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work
  • Instruct apprentices
  • Keep detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentation
  • Maintain a working knowledge of changes in technology and repair techniques
  • Other mechanical repair work as required

Requirements:

  • RED SEAL PREFERRED
  • Appropriate credentials and certifications
  • Proven mechanical abilities in hydraulics and electrical, including schematics and diagnostics
  • Ability to work independently in a busy environment
  • Experience with routine maintenance operations
  • Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Able to work well under pressure / strong attention to detail
  • Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
  • Computer literate
  • Westcon requires a Criminal Record Check and Drivers Abstract for all succesful applications
